As inert minerals, the crystals do not cause adverse or allergic reaction, have low heat retention and extremely fine so they do not rupture or damage healthy and living cells.

Red Tea Extract does double duty by helping encourage the shedding of old, sun-damaged cells on the skin's surface by loosening the glue like substance that bind skin surface cells to each other and boosting scouring properties of the Aluminum Oxide crystals.
